W10 Image Adobe Reader DC 32BIT 2022.003.20282 new error with analyse RdCEF.exe crash

Jump to solution

* Adobe Reader DC 32BIT 2022.003.20282

* W10 1809, 17763.107 LTSX

Hello,

On a validated W10 1809 LTX Image with Adobe Reader DC we now see following error during an analyse of a PDF-file.

a) When we, via ACTIVATE, check a PDF (DoubleClick) or open Reader and then PDF we do not see the error

b) it only happens when we submit a PDF for Analyse via ATD upload (No when we test via activate)

c) It only happens on our new W10 VM Image with Reader DC

d) Redone the image with APP/Repair ADOBE same error again

e) It does also happen in XMODE

f) No entry in Applications under Event viewer

RdCEF.exe crash

Any idea?

Hello Hakim,

This seemed realy related to the older Adobe Reader Version. We extra took and older version BECAUSE it had more vul./exploits so unsafer which better.

With the the process of uninstall and install new version the problem is solved.

We had to reset, adapt all the settings in the new Adobe version so it only show the PDF and does nothing else.

We were unsure if we can install 32 or 64 BIT Version of Adobe Reader to work with the TIS 5.2

Hi Swiss,

It's clear that Adobe has been corrupted and needed to be removed and re-installed again.

To do that you need to follow these steps:

1 - Open the VM in Activation

2 - Remove Adobe and re-install a new one, preferably the latest one.

3 - Shut down the VM

4 - Go to Manage > Troubleshooting > Then click on "Create VMs" button

This is the way for the VM to take the changes we made in the VM.

Note: When creating VMs from Troubleshooting page all VMs will be deleted and recreated again, so make sure to perform this action when ATD is quitter.

Hope this helps,
