Systems Blue Screen during the recent upgrade to MACC 8.3.5. "Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap" stop errors which reference mfeaack.sys. Is
there a compatibility issue with ENS 10.7 Feb Update and the latest MACC client?
Hi @WandaKoz
If possible, please open a Service Request with our Support team and we can investigate this further. Please capture a COMPLETE memory dump and MER file from the affected system.
I am having the same issue. MAC 8.3.5 and ENS Feb 2022 update.
Is there a fix yet?
I am going to try to remove MACC in safemode if I can get the system to stay online long enough.
We opened a ticket with Trellix and the tested version they provided for us did fix the issue. I imagine the fix will be in the next update.
We will remain on 8.3.4 until the next release to avoid BSOD
Hope this helps.
I ended up having to remove 8.3.5 and I am installing 8.3.4 in the meantime.
What did McAfee/Trellix support give you as a fix? Is it just related to the product version itself or is there a compatibility issue with other product versions installed.
Thanks.
Hello @kblowe
Its just related to a product version 8.3.5.McAfee/Trellix has planned to release an hotfix(8.3.6) in August 2022 for the reported issue.
Ok great. thank you for you response.
