Solidcore boot

Would solidcore prevent a system from booting up? The system would have to boot into the OS first, right?

Re: Solidcore boot

Hi @rbenson09

Thank you for posting on the community.

Normally, solidcore does not prevent the system from booting, based on proper policies and whitelists.

You need to reboot the OS after performing solidification and enabling.

If you can boot the OS in update mode, something policy might be missed. If not, memory protection might be cause, please try to disable all memory protection features and see if it is resolved or not.

I hope this helps.

Re: Solidcore boot

Hello @rbenson09 ,

It depends, it is quite possible that Solidcore may block the system files to load during the booting process if Solidcore is not configured properly.

Generally it does not impact the machine boot up . With the logs we can analyze as to why the booting was prevented. Usually the OS files are VTP trusted and Solidcore does not block the execution of system files.

Thank you
