DLP 10 and macOS 10.11 blocking TimeMachine

I am using a DLP rule to block external hard drives on the macOS and that is working nicely.  It is however also blocking the network share for TimeMachine.  I can connect to network shares normally with the expected success but the timemachine backups are failing with an alert from McAfee saying the access to the network path is blocked.

Any hints on how to only block the external HDs and not timemachine on the network?

Re: DLP 10 and macOS 10.11 blocking TimeMachine

I have a similar question. We have DLP rule to monitor removable drive, but I want to exclude Time Machine backup, and are unable to find a way to make this happen. The Macintosh Removable DLP rule doesn't allow any Exclusions.
