Hello,
for a DLP deployment I would like to detect sending a MS Excel file (.xlsx) wih more than 50 rows. If an endpoint user sends an email containing .xlsx file with more than fifty rows, I want to be notified.
I have tried detecting the number of rows using different regex patterns, but I have not been succesfull, because it seems that the usual end of line unprintable characters (like \n) are not used in excel. Could anyone please advice me on this matter?
Thank a lot.

Hi @JP4 ,
Thank you for writing in here.
Can those 50 rows contain any data in them or they will contain any specific data in them?
Hi, there could be any data at all, the goal is to know if there are more than 50 rows.
Hi @JP4 ,
DLP Endpoint uses Google Re2 regex patterns.
Is your pattern validated successfully in any online regex validators? If so DLP should also validate the same.
If you are looking to write a regex pattern to identify 50 rows in excel then we advise you to get in touch with McAfee Professional Services who can help you with the regex pattern creation.
If you have a pattern and its validated in regex validators and not working only in DLP you can share us your regex pattern and the validation results so that we can look more into it.
Thank you.
