Dear McAfee Community Members,
We have an ePO server running 5.9.1.251 with around 7,000 managed endpoints with MA 5.5.1, VSE 8.8 P12, HIPS 8.0 P12 and DLP 11.0.200.1002.
As we only recently upgraded to ePO 5.9.1 (from 5.3.2) we've not had the opportunity to upgrade to the latest DLP version (until now).
I updated the DLP extension to v11.2.0.4 and checked in the 11.2.0.142 package and created a client task and assignment using tags.
I applied the tag to my machine as a test and it duly ran and completed pretty quick reporting success.
However, in the McAfee Agent About screen it still reports as having the original version installed - 11.0.200.1002. This version is also reflected in ePO. It also reports as having installed this version at the time when the upgrade was occurring.
I know it shouldn't need a reboot, as it's just overwriting an existing DLP agent but I did anyway which made no difference.
Any ideas, guys?
Couple of things:-
1. Please confirm if the upgrade is successfully locally.
2. If the upgrade is successful, then looks like it is MA issue as it is not able to do the property collection successfully. A MER log from client machine will help.
3. I will also suggest to reboot one of the client machines and verify if now correct DLP version is displayed in ePO console. By any chance, can be upgrade MA to MA 5.6 latest HF?
Hi,
Thanks for the super fast response.
Actually, I was having a blond moment there...
The Repository Replication task had not had time to replicate the packages to the Repo where I was pointing to in my McAfee Agent Repo policy!
It has now upgraded to DLP 11.2.0.142.
Sorry about that!
Thanks Nick for sharing the solution.
