Product Conflict: dataloss2000 will not be installed

Hi,

I'm installed DLP 9.1 patch 1, in a 2008 server SP2 32 bits, whit .net 3.5 SP1 and ePO 4.6.

The deploy to workstations is ok (XP sp3, windows 7 SP1), but to the serves fail. The message in the Status Monitor is Product Conflict: dataloss2000 will not be installed.

The servers are 3 Windows 2003 sp2 and a 2008 server SP2.

Any Help?

sorry - server platforms are not supported for Host Data Loss Prevention - only normal endpoint platforms are.

But in the installation guide McAfee HDLP 9.1.100 for ePO 4.5 y 4.6 on the top of page 12  say

The following operating system software is supported:

W2003 SE SP1 or later 32 or 64

W2008 Server Enterprise 32 0r 64

I think you are looking at the section for the management component, not the host component?

I'm reading the systems requeriments.

The server requeriments is the next table on the sheet.

AFAIK the KC is the most accurate information I'm afraid - I've not heard of someone installing host data loss prevention on a server platform, only the HDLP management components (and EPO etc).

Device control is scheduled to support server environments in HDLP version 9.2.

The section of documentation you are reading has a server section and agent section.  The agent section refers to what environment you can deploy the DLP agent to.
