Hello, We are noticing an issue on Dell Latitude 7400 2in1 models after a MDE upgrade to 7.3. The CAPs lock is behaving oddly at the McAfee preboot screen. Some instances where the user is unable to enter the correct password due to the CAPs lock key turning on and off. This is excluding a docking station. This is occurring on Windows 10 20H2 operating system. Dell BIOS versions 1.10 & 1.11 thus far. We are using HW Compatibility XML version: 111 that came with DE 7.3.
Has anyone else had this issue recently with 7.3?
Any assistance would be helpful before we open a ticket with McAfee Tech Support.

That file version and subsequent ones should have an entry specifically for the 7400 2-in-1 models that should address this behavior. If the systems have activated with this file in place and are still seeing this behavior at the preboot, I would recommend opening a service request on this as certain data for the systems will need to be reviewed to determine why the hardware flag for this system is not applied or not working as expecting.
This issue is randomly happening on Dell 7400 2n1's, even with the latest BIOS firmware.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Me too with the same update attempt (mine also goes into a 2 reboot "undoing changes" for Windows 10 20HD). Dell Precision 5540.
Any solution?
Make sure you are on HW 113.
McAfee Tech Advanced Engineering team had to provide a EEDK to address this issue with HW flags on certain Dell model laptops. I don't know if the EEDK was provided in any releases, such as the MDE 7.3.1or not. If making sure HW 113 doesn't solve your issue you may want to open a serve request case to address this issue ASAP.
