Trellix DE - unable to encrypt or decrypt

For the past few days, when I try to encrypt or decrypt a client, nothing happens. The encryption or decryption process does not start.
In the "Trellix Drive Encryption System Status" the information remains "Creating Event to request data for assigned user".
If I try to send events, send property or check new policy, the state stays the same.


In mfeEpo.log, when i try to apply policy, there a lot of is this line:

My ePO Server is on-prem version 5.10 update 15 and DE Version is 7.4.0.20

We have found that sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling DE resolves this issue.  Will probably require two reboots - one after removing DE, another after re-installing.

 

If you have DEGo installed on the client, check the ePO DEGo values for that client PC.  Look in the Results section for an "Failed" entries, and research them.  For example, too many SMART errors means a drive that is going bad and needs to be replaced.
