If the user is getting unknown user error on the pba then the user entry has been removed from the McAfee Preboot File System during a policy enforcement.
To boot to the machine kindly perform the machine recovery and once you are in the windows desktop screen kindly checkout the MfeEpe.log for reasons on user removal.
Was any recent changes done to the machine on the EPO, like moving from one system tree group to another system tree group? or the machine was moved from one epo to another epo? like system transfer?
