Hello
I'm deploying the installers in my company, but I have the option of choosing between MVISION Endpoint or Endpoint Security Platform.
I suppose MVISION is better, but I would like to know the difference between them so I could make a more informed decision.
I'll attach a screenshot.
Thank you in advance.
Hi @Edel ,
Trellix Endpoint(Mvision Endpoint) enhances Microsoft Windows Defender Antivirus and Microsoft Windows Defender Firewall allowing you to monitor potential threats on Windows endpoints
In short it is an extension to Windows defender giving you the ability to modify the policies as per your requirements from ePO. MS Defender will be the primary AV.
Whereas Endpoint Security is the actual Trellix Antivirus which would become the primary AV and move defender to a disabled state . Also to deploy the ENS you will have to create a Task in which you will have to include the platform , and then the subsequent modules like Threat Prevention , Firewall , Web Control and Adaptive Threat Protection.
I am also sharing the product guides for both the products, which you can refer and then install the products as per your requirement.

Hi,
That explains the difference in how they're made.
I'd rather want to know in which cases I should choose one or the other.
It's not necessarily which one is "better" (that counts too, but I guess both are more or less at the same level), but which one is easier/quicker to deploy / maintain / manage / monitor.
Maybe a features comparison table would also be helpful.
What counts too is the long term. "MVISION Endpoint" is newer than "Endpoint Security Platform". Perhaps some day you (Trellix) will stop maintaining both products, and keep only one, most likely the former.
I must say this is very confusing.
