We haven't had any reports so far but I called support for additional information. After an hour and half of being on hold and then suggesting I upgrade to 10.6 as a fix and I was directed to KB82450. See the first entry under open issues. As stated earlier in this thread, "You can eliminate the risk of encountering the issue by disabling the Exploit Prevention feature before the installation or upgrade".
If this is a valid workaround, it could be helpful for others if it's added to KB90848.
Thx for adding this.
However I will not upgrade a 10.6.0 as it is a 0 version..
The list of known issue is so huge that it will be another nightmare..
I will gently wait for a fix as the only work around for now is to uninstall ENS 10.5.4 totally and reinstall it without the August Hotfix.
But what is NOT described in the KB article is that a restart is mandatory before proceeding to the reinstall once you uninstalled the software otherwise the installation of Threat Prevention will fail.
So the good news is you can't even automize the task and you need to manually ask the user to restart..
Really not ideal especially while angry users complain that they lost all their work due to repetitive blue screens.
