ENS 10.6.1 December 2019 Release

Jump to solution
This was incorrectly posted and has now been updated. Thank you. I recently updated 600 non production servers to the ENS November 2019 update and experienced several "Blue Screen issues" during the upgrade. Since I have not yet updated my production environment, I am looking at the December release (which seems to address a number of issues.) In addition, the November release is no longer available. I am trying to determine why the November 2019 update for ENS 10.6.1 was pulled and is the December release considered a stable version? I am asking because the December 2019 release is not simply a Hot Fix. Much appreciated.

Hi @Glenn_Bolton,

November 2019 update was not pulled, as there was not a release in November this year. The release prior to the December 2019 release was the October update, following the two month release cycle.

Thank you,

Hi @Glenn_Bolton,

Thank you for your response here. From Tech Support, based on my 2 week observation in the Service Requests logged, I have not really come across any major concerns with respect to ENS 10.6.1 December update. Having said that, as you said, It is always best to test them on a test setup before deploying them to production environment!

Thank you again. My original posting was meant to reference the December 2019 update for ENS 10.6.1. I previously updated my QA environment (560 devices) in November and applied the October 2019 update for ENS. I did not apply this to the EVAL branch of my production EPO environment (23,000 devices) and now it is presently unavailable. Testing was completed for QA but now I may need to start all over again. Is the current December 2019 release a stable release so far? I have read through the Release notes, but I usually gauge my decision to upgrade based on feedback, postings and knowledgebase searches. Thank you.

There is a confirmed issue that causing the Active Response client to crash after applying the ENS December 10.6.1 update.

I would stay away from this one if you run Active Response in your environment.

Thank you. I am not running Active Response, but I will be implementing ATP in the next few weeks. Much appreciated.
