Came in this morning with plans to push out the Endpoint HOTFIX, and during configuration of the deployment task, go the following error page:
"Use the Endpoint Security: Locked Client Systems Due to Failed Password Attempts report to unlock client systems."
I switched over to Queries & Reports, and after eventually finding the report, ran it and received no results on the report.
I posted this question over in the ePO forum, and both vivs and cdinet tried to help me. After poking and probing, I started running the client task on 1 system at a time. Each time I did that, the Agent patch installed without error. I finally got through all my systems, but that leaves me with the question:
If the report failed to find any problems, what causes the Report of Locked Client Systems Due to Failed Password Attempts errors? Is there something I am missing? I want to be prepared should I ever see this again.
TIA
Hi @j.hawes,
The Queries & Reports related to Endpoint Security always depends on the extension of the Endpoint Security. Make sure the Extensions installed in ePO belongs to the same release version of ENS Software Deployed on the client Machines. In short, if you are using ENS 10.7 May release, you need to make sure the Extension installed is also from May release.
If you still see issues, I would recommend you to open a ticket with Technical support so that it could be investigated properly.

Thank you for starting me down the path . . . I checked the installed Endpoint Security Extensions against what is available in Product Downloads, and I am current. The available ENS Extensions in the PRoduct Download site are dated April 14, 2020.
Further, I have completed the HOTFIX patches for both Agent and ENS, but I am sure they would have considered the impact of the HOTFIX against the extensions, right?
I am going to wait a little longer, and if nothing comes of it, I will open a ticket to get it resolved.
Thanks!
