Re: ENS: Unable to UPDATE some customer to ENS 10.6.1 DEC 1124 or 1125

@SWISS You're correct, this was not planned. These are all concerns that I brought directly to engineering at release. There were efforts to document this clearly for customers, but that relies on the correct piece of documentation being found and read by a user.

I am fully aware of all of the customer pain that has been caused by the scenarios put forth by the 10.6.1 December Update and events post that and have brought many of the same concerns to the table in conversations about retrospective and roadmaps moving forward.

I've messaged you directly for a potential option for your customer.

We have around 50 Mcafee customers with around 30 ON premise EPO not a single customer.
We have to change around 120 Deployment tasks manualy in that case.

Any idea how much this will cost?

As i see in the LOGS (Which are immense) depnding on how you schedule the deployment tasks to catch ALL new or stalled machines.

We have to adapt all Deployment Tasks from all customers so HE does not TRY to update UNTIL  Mcafee release the FEB Release?

In other words we have to HALT / STOP all deployment until FEB 2019?

Right?

@SWISS  Targeted communications were sent out in December to cusotmers who we saw had downloaded the 10.6.1 December minor update packages which were pulled (and the patch package for the ATP module). We also updated release notes to outline how the full installer and patch packages available could be used.

Yes, my recommendation would be to stop attempting upgrades until the planned release of the February Update.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Well at least i can stop stressing about why Nove to Dec release wont work.

Guess ill just have to keep Killing ATP on server when it consumes 50GB of memory and i get irrate calls at 2AM. Plus maybe now i can stop sleeping on the couch and back in bed with the wife since i suddenly feel the bricks of frustration and grumpyness leave my shoulders. maybe know ill stop banging the desk and swearing worse than a pirate by just accepting defeat.
