Hello,
McAfee ENS 10.6.1 work with Windows 1809.
The package is ready to download since yesterday.
Good day,
Thanks to both of the McAfee folks who responded. 10.6.1 showed up under my grandt this morning, still reviewing the release notes. It looks like a couple of items will need fixing or testing before the installation, especially the HF for 5.5.1 version of the Agent. Any idea as to when that might be released?
Thanks,
DocB
Hi,
I have upgraded to Windows 10 October update, which required uninstalling mcafee Endpoint Security. I then checked in 10.6.1 yesterday from software manager in ePO and created task to install, which said successful but never installed. I then checked it in again today and now the task never completes. I saw a repost for McAfee Agent 5.5.1 last night, so checked software in, but still the task to install hangs. So I decided to unzip the file (MA551WIN_EMBEDDED_Repost.zip) and run manually, it gets right to the end then fails after about 10 minutes. The error message says: Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action RegisterCompatService, location: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86\macompatsvc.ece, command: /Service
It then rollsback to older agent (5.5.1.342).
Any ideas or anyone else having same issue as we currently have no anti-virus on our Windows 10 October Updated computers.
harris,
Did you try the Agent with the Non-Embedded credentials? It has worked correctly for me. I just finished updating my Master Repository and Client installation tasks this morning, and haven't pushed 10.6.1 to anyone yet.
HTH,
DocB
Hi,
Managed to get the agent on after a reboot. But unfortunately deploying Endpoint Security still doesn't work from epo, also the stand alone install just hangs at 1%. Obviously this isn't an enterprise solution, hope it gets fixed soon.
Still can't install latest EP on October update after installing latest agent. Wasted 2 days now. Going to rollback my OS which is ridiculous really!
