Hi Heroes,
Sometimes we will manually install ENSTP, I want to know is it possible to create an ENSTP+AMCore+Engine bundle package so that the client dont need to connect to epo for DAT updating or just need to do small cumulative updates to save bandwidth and time!
As per my tests using ENS Package Designer, looks not possible......
This is similar as ENS Linux - I saw after installed ENS Linux, it has a built-in DAT version (though it's a little bit too old...)
Thanks in advance.

Hello ,
With the installation of ENS package , it installs the Engine by default and Amcore content version stand in its initial state and after a while it gets updated to latest version .
The Engine and Amcore keeps getting updated very frequently [Amcore on Daily basis and Engine gets updated once in 2-3 months]
There is no such provision to have a ENSTP+AMCore+Engine bundle package created . Amcore needs to be updated on a daily basis either via ePO or performing a manual update
Thank you
McAfee Support.
Hi @User21257322 ,
Please have a re-try with Package Designer, because you can deploy ENS with amcore content.
Refer to the following article:
How to use the Endpoint Security Package Designer
Technical Articles ID: KB86438
https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB86438
"
To add a post-install executable:
1. Click Add next to the corresponding table. An Executable Information window appears where you can provide the executable path and other information.
2. Use the file browser dialog to choose the executable to include. The file can be a standalone executable file (.exe), or for more complex requirements, a .zip file that contains an executable, or another file type.
"
Hence in the post-installation section, you can select the standalone of the amcore found in this website:
Download: V3 Virus Definition Updates
https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-us/downloads/security-updates.html
Once the package is created, please install run it, and do let me know the result.

It's working now... seems why it failed is because I was using an old AMCore version (4161). Thanks much appreciated!!!
