Hi @User28572542 ,
Thank you for posting on McAfee Community,
I would say the error you are facing while performing an upgrade is correct because of the version of ENSTP installed on your machine. The version of ENSTP installed on your machine is 10.6.1.1724 which is "10.6.1 October 2019 Update" and the minimum supported version for windows 10 2004 is "10.6.1 April 2020 Update" 10.6.1.1996.
Please refer McAfee KBA to know what are Minimum supported version for windows 10 >>https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB85784

Ok, that's just telling me the problem I already know. What I need to know is how to get my McAfee to update itself to a version that will allow me to update my Windows, since the auto-updater clearly isn't doing it's job.
Hi @User28572542 ,
Thank you for reaching out to us for clarification.
Just to clarify that upgrading version of ENSTP requires creation of deployment task and assign it to group of machine to pull version update.
I have posted answer for same query here in my another post, Hope this helps >>https://community.mcafee.com/t5/Endpoint-Security-ENS/how-update-ENS-10-7/m-p/671142#M10039

I'm trying to follow the guides to even attempt a product deploy to update my McAfee installs across my domain, but my ePO is version 5.9.0, nothing is lining up with how the guides say to do things, and everything seems set up to go out of it's way to make a simple task as "update to latest version" as difficult and obfuscating as possible.
