Based on your screenshot everything is fine:

The November Update build number for TP is: 10.6.1.1169 which is what your screenshot was showing.

@ryan190 It's looking like those numbers are in regards to content information. Each version loads the same content. When comparing product version installation, you do need to refer to the patches/full build number information in this case.

im lost on what you mean by this.

There is nothing different between the two install apart from the "product version" Take a look at the print screens. Everything is the same, Hotfix, AMcore content, AMcore engine ect

all apart from the product version, so i cant see how it can be the contect information

Re: Endpoint Security Threat Prevention versions

@ryan190 I would like you to understand that you have different versions of ENS as you have mentioned

10.6.1.1169
10.6.1.1128
10.6.0.672
10.5.0.131

Despite of you using different versions the content for ENS remains the same. For example you can see the content for all the versions which might look like this. 3547.

@jess_arman was trying to explain you this. Hope this information helps.

Regards,

Re: Endpoint Security Threat Prevention versions

but that still doesnt make any sense. i got the 1169 product versions when i installed the Nov update.

That update changed the version number from 1128 to 1169. In my mind that means the product version changed due to the install of the hotfix. It updated it from 1128 to 1169. Am i correct in saying that?

If so, that would mean anything listed as 1128 doesnt have the Nov update. But this isnt true both 1128 and 1169 have the Nov update, infact they are from the same standalone installer from the same USB.

So why would they be different versions?

Thanks fror clarifying! I think we all may have missed something here.

So to clarify (see comments inline):

>> They shouldn't be!

Can you check on the system showing version 1128 the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins\ENDP_AM_1060

What values are listed in Hotfix Version, Build Number and Version?

Re: Endpoint Security Threat Prevention versions

Hello @ryan190

First you need to verify you are using the correct repository to apply this update in the McAfee Agent General policy, Update tab:

Capture.PNG

After that please note that The November release notes refer to updating only 10.6.x(1128) to 10.6.1 November(1169):

https://kc.mcafee.com/resources/sites/MCAFEE/content/live/PRODUCT_DOCUMENTATION/27000/PD27825/en_US/...

Reboot is mandatory for that release too:

Capture.PNG

So in case you see something else except 10.6.1.1169 for Treat Prevention and 10.6.1.1103 for Platform, most probably update did not finish with a reboot or it was interupted at some point. So far I am aware of issues where only Treat Prevention update while Platform stays with previous version. For that particular cases it is recommended to go for full removal with the lates removal tool(latest one was released few days ago) and then redeploy ENS.

In case above information was useful or answered your question, please select "Accept as Solution" in my reply, or give a Kudo. Thanks!
