Hi,
Is there any way we can exclude registry scanning from on-access scan in McAfee ENS 10.5.3.
I chekcked the settings and find there are options for extension but not for registry.
Please update if anyone have an idea
It is not possible because the exclusion feature only can exclude files and folders.
On-access also does not scan the registry. Are you trying to exclude process that interact with the Registry. You can do that
Why do you need to exclude a registry key from on-access?
Hi,
User reported that McAfee is scanning registry and they are facing slowness issue and he wants to exclude registry from scanning to test if it solves the issue.
So do we need to exclude the process that interact with registry by adding under low process risk? Are you sure on-access scan doesn't scan the registry.
OAS does not scan registry.
If it is a process that interacts with registry, Yes it would be best as a test to set it as a low risk process. Do you by chance have Registry scanning in your ODS policy?
if still confused on next steps, the best thing i can tell you is to call 1-866-452-9443 with your valid grant number and we can get a ticket open to help you look into things.
