Firewall blocking incoming scanned documents

Jump to solution

We have a very small network and are using Endpoint Security 10.5.2. There is a multifunction copier on the network and we are unable to receive scanned documents to a folder on our desktop. Scanning worked fine when we only had VirusScan installed. If we disable the firewall, the scan to folder works fine. With the firewall enabled, the scan won't come through. Printing to that same machine is no problem. What do we have to do to get the scans to come through without disabling the firewall? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Turn on Adaptive Mode in the Firewall Options and try run the scans again.  With adaptive mode enabled the Firewall should automatically create a rule for you if its blocking the  scan.

You can also check what Firewall is blocking on affected computer via ENS under Event Log there is link "View Logs Folder" file: FirewallEventMonitor.log and create rules in ePO.
