With the upcoming release of Windows 10 1909 (Oct Update), I am trying to be prepared and find out what is supported under this version. Currently our production environment is running with ENS 10.6.1 July repost. The systems are running with EndPoint Security Threat Prevention 10.6.1.1666 and EndPoint Security Common 10.6.1.1607.
According the a KB article dated 09/27/2019 - KB85784 is states that 10.6.1 July Repost is supported with Windows 10 1909. However, I noticed that McAfee released ENS 10.6.1 Oct Update. In the release notes for the Oct update is states that it supports Windows 10 1909. Does that mean that we should go to that version instead of using the July Repost of ENS 10.6.1.
Just want to make sure that the July Repost 10.6.1 is still supported with Windows 10 1909 as going to the Oct Update, being a full installer, will be a pain with over 2,000 systems.

Hi @twenden
Thanks for the post. I don't have 1909 to test and share screenshots right now. However, It is confirmed that 10.6.1 July repost supports Windows 10 1909 update.
July repost was technically not released to specifically address compatibility with Windows 10 October update and hence this is not updated in its release notes. However, It is compatible.
However, as always, we would strongly recommend deploying on one or more test machines to confirm everything works fine before we got for a direct deployment to production environment.

Thanks. that is good news that the July Repost is supported and that we don't need to rush into deploying the Oct Update of ENS 10.6.1. I have already deployed the ENS 10.6.1 Oct update to test systems and a small group of about 15 systems as a test.
Hi @twenden
Thank you for your response. However, I just did some more digging on the new release and this is what I found. Seems like Windows have changed the name of the update. So I should definitely add a warning here that this supportability may change if Microsoft decides to change more than just the name and release month for the update. This is not to get you worried, however, it is very important that the information shared here is delivering the correct information as it reaches wider audience.
Rest assured, We always test with the versions available to our development and Engineering team before entering our supportability confirmation on release notes and documents.
I sincerely hope this information helps you!
Hi @twenden
Yes, That would be an excellent plan to move ahead with! Thank you for closing this thread by marking a solution. Kudos to that!
