Removing ENS/VSE remotely without ePO Connectivity

We have a fleet of Windows 10 systems (various versions from 1607 through 1909). All are managed via ePO. They are either running ENS 10.7 or VSE 8.8 with agent version 5.x. Now since COVID many of our laptops have not been on our network and hence have not checked in with ePO in months. I have a requirement to remove ENS/VSE on the remote laptops and replace with Defender AV/ATP.

Is there a support way to do this without doing it from ePO (as this is not an option for us) ? Is it supported to uninstall all components in this scenario? I would like to automate this by delivery a script to the endpoint to remove.

If the systems are not being managed by EPO and there is no communication between EPO and Client Machines then to uninstall the ENS completely or VSE is possible via "Endpoint Removal Tool".

EPR tool will help you to remove the ENS VSE MA from the system but it requires a mandatory restart of the systems so that products can be completely removed from the system.

This EPR tool can be download from the McAfee Product download website using your grant number and email address associated with your account.

Note : This tools needs to run manually on the client system to remove the McAfee Products. We dont have any automatic scripts for this to do it but you can try with any third party tool to see if it helps however the support for this tool is only available for running on locally on the system or deploying this tool via EPO.
