The upgrade process for April 2023 Mac product releases is documented in the following Trellix KB:
https://kcm.trellix.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB96485
For JAMF/MDM users, there are some additional steps required.
The below System Extensions MDM payload settings should be added to the Configuration Profiles to ensure the removal of the legacy System Extensions:

|
Team Identifier

|
REMOVABLE SYESTEM EXTENSIONS

com.mcafee.CMF.endpointsecurity
|
FMP covers removal during the deployment process, however, the removal has to be approved by either the user/admin or via the MDM profile if configured properly.
For macOS Big Sur and earlier, users/admins should be notified to allow the removal, as Configuration Profiles might not be able to permit the removal of the legacy extensions, due to a limitation in these OSs.
Additionally, the below should be allowed, either in the Configuration Profiles or by the user/admin, for the product to work properly.

Finally, certificates may also need to be added via configuration profiles.
