VSE 8.8 Edit repository list error fffffff6

Hoping someone can help. We have a locked down standalone Windows 7  build, with VSE 8.8 installed. Yesterday we discovered that when we unlock the console and choose" Edit the repository list" we cannot - error fffffff6.

Uninstall and reinstall doesn't fix it most times - we can only assume a security lockdown applied after the AV was installed is causing the issue. If we check the build immediately after it completes, we can access the repository list.  After a reboot - when the lockdown is applied, we cannot.

We have also noticed that many of the scheduled scans are not running. - no error - just not running.

Sadly the lockdown was developed a few years ago, implemented by replacing the local GPO and not documented. Hoping that someone can give me a pointer as to what is causing the issue - hoping I do not have to go through every setting!

dmini,

Virus Scan Enterprise is reporting as version 8.8

Agent is reporting as 4.8.0.887

The custom install stops most from appearing in add/remove programs 😞

dmini1,

Have you considered updating the Agent?  Current is 5.5.0.447 and is pretty good.

Still need the Patch level for VSE.
