Web Control allows links in Edge but blocks in Chrome.

We are using Windows 10 1903 build, and are currently using ENS 10.6

When using Edge a technical resource site allows users to see the graphs via web-links.

When using Chrome (ESR v. 77.0.3865.120 64-Bit) it blocks it and says that the Security rating is Green.

Categorizes it as Anonymizing Utilities. 

This is the Dept of Biological and Agricultural Engineering website for NC State University. 

Links work in Edge, but not in Chrome. Any reasons as to why?

Enable ENS Web Control in Chrome:
In Chrome, the menu icon is highlighted and a pop-up window opens with a message stating a new extension has been installed and is ready for use. ENS Web Control does not function in Chrome until the extension is enabled.

If an end user deletes the ENS Web Control extension in Chrome, you cannot restore the extension through ePO. An uninstall and reinstall of ENS Web Control does not add the ENS Web Control extension back in Chrome. To make the ENS Web Control extension available in Chrome again, you must either delete the Chrome user profile that deleted the ENS Web Control extension or reinstall Chrome on the system.

The URL reputation is green, Web Control allows navigation to the URL and displays the page.Otherwise, Web Control navigates to either the block or warn page, based on settings.

Web Control is enabled on all browsers for our enterprise environment and isn't disabled on any of the browsers.

So the question is, why would Browser A (Microsoft Edge) allow a web site while Browser B (Chrome) doesn't allow it and blocks it?

I see that you are using the latest version of chrome 77.0.3865.120 version. Could you let me know what is the version of ENS web control you are using. 

Please make sure you are running the latest version of ENS

10.6.0.1 on the Web Browsers that do not work.

10.7.0.1 on the Web Browsers that do work.

The client task was compiled in ePO using ENS 10.6.1

Tested in previous versions of chrome through SCCM and it still doesn't allow the web links. Also removed the entire suite from the machine just in case for McAfee artifacts that didn't uninstall properly using the McAfee Product Removal tool provided with our Grant #

Is the one that is being applied to Chrome, 10.6.0.1 the latest that there is to offer? Or is there a more current version that we will need to go through the steps to go into production?

Software Catalog in ePO doesn't show any needed updates to be placed into Eval / Current etc..

Here is the latest version of ENS 10.6.1 October update release, could you try installing the October update and check if that resolves the issue. Also, is it possible for you to share the URL, so that we can test it on our test box

Currently, after deploying the October update to the pilot and asking certain pilot users to test, Chrome doesn't allow the weblinks. This is for ESR versions, the most current one and then one version behind which is where we usually try to stay.

This means that McAfee just hasn't fixed the links in an update and could be allowed later?

I have just joined this post and I could see that we are moving in the direction of seeing this as an issue with Chrome. However, I would like to confirm if that is the actual case. I am sure you prefer the website to be allowed, however, Anonymizing utilities may not be a category that would get allowed usually (contains proxies and translator - Lang and URL sites).

So I would like you to confirm if the "issue" is present across all versions of Chrome and Edge as well. Can you also check the same for Internet Explorer, given it is always present in the machine usually.
