We are in the process of deploying ENS 10.6.1 Patch to our Endpoints running 10.6.0. I have the patch is the evaluation branch and am using policy assignement rules and tags to ensure only select systems get this patch. The policy assignment rules is for the ePO agent and changes the update section to tell it to pull the patch from the evaluation branch.
I have noticed that the majority of systems don't get the patch. Some will get it if I perform a update now from the ePO console. Is there something that I am missing. Need to get this patch out to support Windows 10 October Update 2018.
Can you share on how you exactly did the 10.6.1 patch update? I have the 10.6.1 patches checked in Master Repository but it says that I dont have the Enpoint Security Platform.
"required patch 1 of endpoint security platform not present on the system"
does it really required the September update before I can upgrade to 10.6.1? Cause it showmehow worked after I manually installed Sept update and the patched the 10.6.1
Thank you.
@JoeMace If you have only the patch files checked in, then it would make sense that you must install the base version of the product before you can patch up to 10.6.1. If you are looking to do a new installation of 10.6.1, then you need to instead use the package files as these are full installers for the product.

Thank you, Jess! But I have checked in both install packages and patches.
@JoeMace What type of task are you using to push the packages?
@jess_arman I did create a new Product Update task for those patches then I get this error "required patch 1 of endpoint security platform not present on the system" even though all the patches and packages were properly checked in under Evaluation branch.
I have tried again today by pushing Product update and Update Now and surprisngly it worked now for both tasks! Do you have any idea why it didn''t work last week? I am still confused on why it did work today.
And is it normal not to see the ENS 10.6.1 patches on Update Now task as shown below?
@JoeMace Packages files will not show in this type of deployment task as Product Update tasks are for pushing content and patch files. Packages/Installers must be deployed via Product Deployment task types. I believe that is where a portion of the confusion may lie.

@jess_arman I understand that install packages will not show in deployment task for Product Updates task. But as shown on my previous screenshot under Update Now task, I am not seeing the ENS 10.6.1 patches under Patches and service packs. Though I am seeing those patches in McAfee Agent General policy under Updates tab.
Also trying to go from ENS 10.6.0 as October updates hit our Windows 10 machines. But I'm unable to get it to install. Checked it into Evaluation, created task to install but get the following:-
Run now task McAfee Agent > Product Deployment successful<br/>Details: Deployment/Update task failed..
Anyone any ideas?
