Good Morning,
I have a problem with the uninstall of endpoint security 10.5.
How can i force the uninstall of this program?
I can 't uninstall it from epo or from remove app control panel of windows.
Are there some tools that can help me?
Thanks
Claudio
Claudio,
If you have a service contract with McAfee, open a service ticket and request the removal tool. You can use the EEDK to build an uninstall package with the removal tool.
HTH,
DocB
I found some registry keys that contain the uninstall calls for Endpoint Security.
Under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins\
you'll find all plugins to ENS, look into the different sub key, there are the uninstall call's for each of them.
There is a binary you can get from McAfee Support called Ripper It time bombs every month or so, and you have to get a new one.
Claudio,
McAfee discontinued the former "Ripper Tool" and introduced a new Endpoint Product Removal. Along side with a new Graphic Interface can remove more products than the former "Ripper Tool".
Please open a Service Request with Mcafee Support and request the Endpoint Product Removal. Follows bellow how to use the Tool once provided by Support.
A rose by any other name...
I have tried the latest Mcafee removal tool with GUI. From GUI it's working, But I have i EEDK package for this tool and trying to remove ENS from ePO with client task same as with previous tool and no luck. Task just finished successfully and nothing esle... also they changed commands. Was /ENS now --ENS, tried both...
@denn The EPR Tool will not run with any switch unless you have first accepted the EULA via the switch "--accepteula".
So, if you are looking to remove ENS, your switch would be as follows:
--accepteula --ENS
All of this is outlined in the EPR User Guide that can be found in our Knowledge Center https://kc.mcafee.com/resources/sites/MCAFEE/content/live/PRODUCT_DOCUMENTATION/27000/PD27734/en_US/...
I've recorded a walkthrough video for use of the tool with the EEDK that I'm hoping to get publicly available soon.
