Convert McAfee Agent to Stand-Alone

Jump to solution

Hello,

Odd question but I've been asked if a system with McAfee Agent tied to our ePO console can be 'converted' to a stand alone Agent.

I know stripping the old one and/or installing a software package with a stand-alone Agent would work. But, any way to do that without those steps?

Thanks!

Hi,

Run this in command prompt: c:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86\FrmInst.exe /Remove=Agent

Then the machine is unmanged and gets updates from McAfee http.
