EMM 9.6 DeploymentHelper Errors

Jump to solution

When I run the DeploymentHelper utility on a Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual machine I get several failures and errors. Some of the errors I get are:

“Checking for WebDAV add-on”(which shows as installed in the IIS Manager)

“Checking required permissions for IIS Setup” as seen below. The user that is logged in is a local administrator on the server.

Whenever I click the “Click here to open report” link I get an error stating “Unknown error – this application will close now.”

Has anyone seen these errors before? If so what is the solution?

Thanks in advance.

I am logged in as an administrator but I had to right click and run the application as administrator to get it to work.

Please verify that you are logged in as an administrator as you must run the tool with the administrative rights.

I am logged in as an administrator when these errors occur. I have also tried logging in with other administrator accounts and get the same result.

The UAC can sometimes cause this behavior.  Glad you were able to get it to work.
