本記事は、2023年05月31日時点の情報となります。本件は、NS-3100/3200 のみが対象であり他の IPS Sensor モデルは該当しません。
Trellix IPS Sensor NS-3100/3200 アプライアンス製品をご購入のお客様におかれましては、文末に示すような文書を同梱させていただいております。
＜背景＞
昨今の世界的な半導体不足により、同機種で利用されるスイッチ部品の確保ができない状況であることから、弊社では対策として代替パーツを確保し、ハードウェアバージョン 1.10 としてご利用いただけるように手配をしております。
ハードウェアバージョンが異なっても引き続き製品をご利用いただけますが、今後、新規に NS-3100/3200 を購入いただいた場合や、故障により NS-3100/3200の 交換が必要となった場合に、ハードウェアバージョン 1.10 の NS-3100/3200 が送付される場合がございます。
＜問題点＞
ハードウェアバージョン 1.10 では、IPS Sensor バージョン v10.1.5.190 未満がご利用いただけません。
＜対応策＞
v10.1.5.190 未満のバージョンで現在ハードウェアバージョン 1.0 をご利用のお客様におかれましては、早急に IPS Sensor のバージョンアップをご検討いただけますようお願い申し上げます。
また、IPS Sensor バージョン v10.1.5.190 を管理するためには IPS Manager v10.1.7.65 以上が必要です。IPS Manager のバージョンもあわせてバージョンアップをご検討いただけますと幸いです。
（ IPS Manager のバージョンアップが困難な場合は別途追加で構築いただいても問題ありません )
IPS Sensor バージョン v10.1.5.190 以上をご利用のお客様におかれましてはハードウェアバージョンの影響はございませんのでご安心ください。
＜総括＞
NS-3100/3200 をご利用中のお客様におかれましては、以下 3 つの対処方法がございます。各オプションをご理解のうえ、ご検討くださいますようお願いを申し上げます。
オプション1: IPS Manager 単体をアップグレードする。
IPS Manager を v10.1.7.65 以上にアップグレードいただくことで NS-3100/3200 ハードウェアバージョン v1.0 と v1.1 の両方を管理することができます。
オプション2: IPS Manager 別途を追加する。
IPS Manager v10.1.7.65 以上を追加いただくことで NS-3100/3200 ハードウェアバージョン v1.0 と v1.1 の両方を管理することができます。
オプション3: ハードウェアバージョン v1.0 の IPS Sensor を v10.1.5.190 以上にアップグレードする。
ハードウェアバージョン v1.0 の IPS Sensor をハードウェアバージョン v1.10 に対応可能なバージョンにアップグレードしておくことで、故障時にハードウェアバージョンv1.10 が届いた場合においてもすぐにご利用いただくことができます。
※ IPS Sensor v10.1.5.190 を管理するためには、ハードウェアバージョンに関係なく、IPS Manager v10.1.7.65 以上が必要です。そのため、オプション 1 またはオプション 2 をあわせてご実施ください。
なお、IPS Sensor v10.1.5.190 未満および IPS Manager v10.1.7.65 未満のバージョンは MBS ( McAfee Brand Software ) であるためリブランディングに伴い、昨年末に弊社ダウンロードサイトから削除されています。

NS-3100/3200 センサーにおけるハードウェアバージョンの確認方法
CLI から show コマンドを実行し Hardware Version の値を確認します。
以下に出力例を記載いたします。
ハードウェアバージョン 1.0 の場合

Notice to our customers
As many of you might be aware, there has been a supply constraint on semiconductors worldwide. Trellix is taking
proactive steps to better position its products in such challenging environment.
As part of this effort, we have qualified a functionally equivalent ethernet switch for NS-Series 3200 and 3100
Sensors to increase the availability of these devices. The NS3200 and NS3100 Sensor appliances with this switch
would have hardware version as 1.10. Customers using these Sensors are advised to use only Sensor software
version 10.1.5.190 or higher. Downgrading these Sensors to software version lower than 10.1.5.190 is not supported
and may result in abnormal functionality in them.
