ENSL 10.6.9 RHEL9 support

Hi,

I'm trying to get the eval kit for ENSL 10.6.9 working on RHEL 9.1 and I've found it's missing the kernel module.

How do I get the correct kernel module or an updated evaluation bundle?

Thanks

Re: ENSL 10.6.9 RHEL9 support

Hello @Alan_Davis ,

Thank you for contacting us through community.

We have couple of architecture of ENS-Linux i.e., 10.6.x & 10.7.x

10.6.x - Doesn't support RHEL 9.1
10.7.x - Supports RHEL 9.1 (From version 10.7.12 & later, previous version are not supported)

Kindly refer the below article to find the list of ENSL version, Supported OS, etc.,

https://kcm.trellix.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB87073

Kindly refer the below article to find the list of RHEL Kernel we support at present.

https://kcm.trellix.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB93176

Note:
1)
If you're still looking for ENSL 10.6.9 package, please open a Service Request for support, we shall share the package with you. But, we would not support if machine runs in to some issue, cause 10.6.9 & RHEL 9.1 are incompatible.

2)
If any of your OS/Kernel are not supported under 10.7.x. Please submit a PER / Service Request.

Hope this helps !

Thank you,
Aravind K

Re: ENSL 10.6.9 RHEL9 support

Aravind,

I understand that 10.7 supports RHEL9. What I need, then, is an eval kit that has a 10.7 release in it. The current eval kit on the website is 10.6.9.

How can I get an updated eval kit?

Re: ENSL 10.6.9 RHEL9 support

Hello @Alan_Davis

I just checked the Trellix Product Download site and confirmed ENSL latest version 10.7.13 is available for download.

Please login to below link using your Grant No & Email ID.

https://www.trellix.com/en-us/downloads/my-products.html

Up on successful login, search for the product "Trellix Endpoint Security for Linux Threat Prevention" version 10.7

If you would like to test it on a Standalone machine (not managed by ePO), then download "Trellix Endpoint Security for Linux Threat Prevention 10.7.13 Build 20 Standalone Install Package Version 10.7.13.20"

If you would like to test it on a Managed machine (Managed by ePO). Then you could download ENSL 10.7.13 license ext, Kernel Module package, Threat Prevention package from the same screen.

Thank you,
Aravind K

Re: ENSL 10.6.9 RHEL9 support

Aravind,

I'm sorry, I guess I haven't been clear enough. I don't have a current license for ENSL (and no grant number) - I'm trying to evaluate this as a new solution, to replace clamav. I haven't found any vendor that has a SKU for ENSL in less than bundles of 11 or more and I can't justify buying 11 licenses in order to test it. That /is/ why McAfee/Trellix provides an demo/evaluation kit. I just need the 10.7 eval kit to test before I can go to my management and get approval for a purchase.

Any help you can give towards getting a 10.7 eval bundle would be very appreciated.
