How to modify /var/McAfee/ens/tp/prefs.xml

I need to modify the /var/McAfee/ens/tp/prefs.xml file before installing ENSLTP, I was trying to find the file in the tar.gz file so I can repack it with EEDK but I was not able to to find it.

The issue I am having is that 2 different apps are using the same NetlinkRequestSocket and  NetlinkResponseSocket ports...so support advised me to change that...which it worked.

Now I need to find a way to have those parameters from the beginning of the installation but I was not able to find them or a way to modify the current ENLTP rpm so I can upload it ePO.

Re: How to modify /var/McAfee/ens/tp/prefs.xml

one thing you could do is take a current /var/McAfee/ens/tp/prefs.xml with the changes and create an eedk package that copies the file to the /var/McAfee/ens/tp folder after ensl is installed.  all you would need to do is run the ensl install with the oasoff parameter so on-access scanning is disabled and then run the eedk package right after.    you should be able to chain the two together in one deployment task to accomplish this.  you could also include in the eedk package a command to start oas after the new xml is in place.
