How to remove mcafee agent on client Windows 10

Hi all,

I using VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSkyware Enterprise 8.8. I want to remove Mcafee on client, please help me!

Hi there,

Follow the steps below and you'll be able to remove VSE even if its self protection is ON. You need to have admin rights though.

VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) command line removal using msiexec.exe:

  1. Click Start, Run.
  2. Type the removal string for your version of VSE, then click OK.

    VirusScan Enterprise 8.8
    msiexec /x {CE15D1B6-19B6-4D4D-8F43-CF5D2C3356FF} REMOVE=ALL REBOOT=R /q

Remove Agent

"C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\x86\FrmInst.exe" /forceuninstall /Silent

Remove VSE

msiexec.exe /x {CE15D1B6-19B6-4D4D-8F43-CF5D2C3356FF} REMOVE=ALL REBOOT=R /q

Hi,

Settings -> Add or remove programs -> McAfee VSE 8.8 -> Uninstall.

if the system is in managed mode you have to disconnect agent from ePO first before it allow to uninstall VSE..

1 way is to delete asset from EPO and check the box "Uninstall Agent on next communication"

2nd way is to go into root dir of the Agent setup... \VSE\Common Framework\x86 and run FRMINST.EXE /FORCEUNINSTALL
