Update using date file

Jump to solution

Hello,

I was using xdate, exe file to update VSE for years. I downloaded it daily from external site http://download.nai.com/products/licensed/superdat/english/intel

Now I am forced instead of VSE to use Endpoint Security.

I installed Endpoint Security 10.6 on Win10. Downloaded xdate.exe BUT it failed to update. The log states:

"Unable to find any qualifying McAfee Product(s)".

Could someone help me?

Where is my problem: it's not support xdate.exe update anymore? or it should be different update file for this product ... and where could I download it from?

Thanks in advance ... this is quite critical for me ..

Since Endpoint Security uses what we refer to as V3 DATs (legacy products and non-windows products use V2 DATs), you will need the "V3_dat.exe" from the security update site below:

https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-us/downloads/security-updates.html?region=us

-akatt,

It looks that I didn't reply properly.

Thanks so much for explanations. This is exactly what I was looking for.

The only issue is that my script daily goes to the site and download xdate.exe. Now I need to do similar but download another file.

Could you point me to the site (similar to one above) where my script could download "V3_dat.exe" ?

I mean I need url similar to http://download.nai.com/products/licensed/superdat/english/intel which will allow automatically download the file.

Highly appreciate your response
