Application Control Rule Set & Application Control with Separate Application Handling

I'm very interested in possibly implementing the rule sets named "Application Control" & "Application Control with Separate Application Handling."  The MWG product guide provides some basic information on Application Control, but can someone point me in the right direction to either a KB, tutorial, or technical guide for those two rule sets?  Thanks

Application Control uses dynamic whitelisting to guarantee that only trusted applications run systems.
It protects your organization against malware attacks. Which means only Trusted application will be running on the system and if user downloads any external executable Application control will block it.

You misunderstood me.  I'm not interested in the McAfee Application Control product.  I know what that is.  I was asking about the difference between the McAfee Web Gateway rule sets named "Application Control", and "Application Control with Separate Application Handling."  My understanding is that those rule sets work independently from the Application Control product that McAfee has.  I'm not interested in the solidcore product.
