Best practice sizing mwg cluster

Hi folks,

we serve a http(s) proxy with a mwg-cluster(with one VIP)  for about 20k users.

Our mwg-cluster presently has 7 workers.

Each worker has 8 vcpus and 32gb ram.

Each worker logs every http-request and performs malware-scanning.

Each worker gets about 200 - 300 requests per second.

Our infrastructure is still growing. It it in general better to upgrade the vcpus for each worker or shall we add more worker to the cluster? At what point shall we add a(n) (external) load balancer?
