Central Management- How to open port 12346

Jump to solution
Port 12346 is not open on the web gateway that I'm trying to add to a cluster. Can't telnet net to the node on that port from one of the other appliances I checked by doing netstat -lntu and it's not listening How do I open that port from the CLI? Thanks

Have you uploaded a cluster cert to the new node?

Hello @Jblack

that usually happens if you define several network interfaces during the initial setup, changed IP addresses or using not the first network interface.

You need to use UI to check unter Configuration > Appliances > Central Management > Central Management Settings if a right IP address is configured as a listener for the central management communication.

AFAIK it cannot be done via CLI.

After that you need to upload your cluster certificate unter Configuration > Appliances and then you can add this appliance to your central management cluster.

In UI in Central Management Settings I added the IP and port 12346 to be used for central management communication.  Everything is configured the way the other nodes are that are part of the cluster. Using Eth0 as the interface and didn't change the IP at any point.  I did enable ETh1 and Eth2 too though.

Ok I imported the cluster CA and everything works fine now. Was able to join the cluster.  Thanks for your help.
