Exclude the logs for a particular rule/ruleset in Webgateway access.log

Jump to solution

Hi,

We are getting a lot of logs for some urls which we have in Global Block Ruleset. We don't want the logs for those urls.

I have done that by using a condition that URL does not match in list & its working fine but we want this to be configure according to the Rule/Ruleset we have for eg.in our case we want for Global Block Ruleset,so that we dont have logs for all the URLs that we have in this Ruleset.

Can anyone tell me how to do the same...

Hi Jon,

I have done that by adding a column in access.log for rules/rulesets and then added the criteria to exclude that rule/rulesets

-Criteria: URL.Host matches in list [No logging domains]

-Action: Stop Ruleset

Put this in your log handler above the logging rule you wish to avoid.

Best Regards,

Jon

Hi Jon,

Thanks, but I have already done that without any problem.

My query is different!!!

It would like the same thing to be happen with rules/ruleset criteria so that all the URLs placed in that rules/rulesets should not be logged

I created a new Log Handler that is empty.

If I don't want logging for a specific rule, I configure the rule to use the empty Log Handler by adding an Event to Set log handler = Do not log
