Hi, i need for example allow videos of category tech or Education but block category Music or movies.
regards,
Hi edinson.montenegro@bmm.com.co,
In general you can do that under “Filter Access to Youtube Videos” > “Filter By Category”. There you have a rule with a list called “Blocked Youtube Category Names”.
Within this list you can enter categories, e.g. “Music”, "Entertainment" etc.
The problem is that categories of music or movie videos can differ. I’ve found music videos whose category is “Entertainment” and other with category “Music”. I also have found complete movies on Youtube whose category is “People & Blogs”.
If you want to block specific videos you can use "Filter By Video ID".
Do not hesitate to ask if you have further questions.
Regards,
Marcel
hi, thank's for the answer,
But I don't understand why I can not block the category of blog, and category the movies, I mean put as blocked, but nonetheless videos can be played.
Hi edinson.montenegro@bmm.com.co,
I just tried to upload a YouTube video and found the settings therefore.
There I have the possibility to choose the category:
These are the categories which are finally used in YouTube API rule set.
I think it is not possible to block all movies because these upload options can be adjusted by every user himself and differ.

Marcel

Hi edinson.montenegro@bmm.com.co,
Go to "YouTube" > click on the "Sign in" button in the upper right corner > login > click on your profile in the upper right corner (there should be a "Creator Studio" button) > on the left side of Creator Studio expand "Channel" and then click on "Upload defaults".
Regards,
Marcel
you must have SSL Scanner enabled and configured correctly. Additionally check that none of youtube URLs/domains are whitelisted.
100% of youtube traffic is encrypted with HTTPS and MWG needs SSL Scanner being activated to be able to "understand" what kind of video is being downloaded and block it accordingly.
If you are sure that SSL scanner is already enabled and you still cannot block some youtube videos then run rule trace:
Otherwise you need to read how to enable SSL Scanner, check "HTTPS inspection" on this page:
