ICAP and data trickling

Good day, I am reaching out to see if anyone know if data trickling can be used while running ICAP on the MWG? We currently have several customers that are getting timeout errors because their client doesnt receive anything from the ICAP (MWG) servers while they are scanning files. These files have been known to be 50MB and higher. We are just trying to see if there is a way to have the ICAP report something back while it is scanning files. We are running version 9.2.8

Re: ICAP and data trickling

Hi,

Data Trickling is used to keep the connection between client and ICAP client busy. Between ICAP client and ICAP server there is no data trickling. Once the file was submitted the ICAP client needs to wait until the ICAP server is ready.

Usually ICAP clients expect a response within a specific period of time before they report a timeout. This limit needs to be extended as MWG sometimes takes a lot of time to scan complex archives.

Re: ICAP and data trickling

Hi,

Maybe 206 ICAP response can be sent to ICAP client to keep connection busy ?
