[MWG v9.2.7] Bandwidth Control commands on CLI

Hello guys,

We recently upgraded many of our customers MWG environments from 7.8.2 to 9.2.7 or 9.2.8 due to the coming EOL for the first version.

On the customers in which we had Bandwidth Control enabled, we used to run a command through CLI (which I don't have here with me now) that used the mfend engine to verify if the Bandwidth Control service was enabled and running.

Now that the mfend engine was updated to haproxy, the command obviously doesn't work anymore.

We'd like to inquire if there's any command/parameter we could run through CLI to verify if the Bandwidth Control service is running/automatically set to run/overall status, since we could only find instructions related to the MWG GUI on this matter.

One of our customers is worried that he had to previously start the Bandwidth Control service manually after an appliance reboot, and now we don't know the status of the Bandwidth Control function, at least not based on a background service on the CLI like before.

We thank in advance anyone who takes interest in this question, and will be waiting on an analysis.

Best regards,

Re: [MWG v9.2.7] Bandwidth Control commands on CLI

Dear @LucasAlmeida

the TC(Bandwidth control) service isn't updated and should work in the same way it was before. Also checking status of the service I would expect should be unchanged. However, I don't know those command to help you with. From Support perspective the system should care about service status by its own, in case of failure it restarts - so no manual interaction through CLI should be required. If you limit for Example YouTube and can verify its limited I would expect that all processes are fine. If you have tested any services which aren't working as expected (not limited) feel free to open new Service Request.

Best Regards,
Sergej
