Sending e-mails on detected viruses

Jump to solution

Hello,

we implemented notifications based on https://community.mcafee.com/t5/Documents/Web-Gateway-Configuring-Incident-Notifications-and-Alerts/...

Would it be possible to also send notifications, when a virus was found. It seems that message does not appear in the Dashboard so we cant find the ID of the event.

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

Attaching rule set for Writing Virus Samples to files  for reference.

In the rule you can configure to  send email notification as well by calling email.send property in the events section of the rule.

You can make use of the rule in your existing GAM rule itself.

Also you can do modification in your existing Gateway Anti Malware rule set itself  instead of above mentioned information , in the rule set their is a rule named Block if Virus was found.  In this rule in events section you can make use of email.send property and check if that heps to achieve your requirement.
