Use an AD group with computers as criteria to block access

Is it possible to put an AD group of computers much like the Authentication Groups for users as criteria on rules?

We want to block access for a bunch of servers on different subnets and would like to be able to do it via AD group instead of putting their IP address one by one. Thanks.

Re: Use an AD group with computers as criteria to block access

In standard NTLM authentication, the machine name and computer groups are not returned, so MWG has no way of knowing the computer groups with an AD lookup.

Depending on your environment (DNS), you may be able to do a reverse lookup on the client IP to determine the workstation's DNS name however:

DNS.Lookup.Reverse(Client.IP)

Otherwise, if you need to take action on requests based on the machine, you will need to use IP or IP range lists.
