VLAN on Bond interface - delay start ?

Jump to solution

Hi there.

We need to separate inbound and outbout traffic using VLANs. We came with 2 physical interfaces in bond and 2 VLAN interfaces on this bond.

ie:

eth0 - IP disabled, member fo bond0
eth1 - IP disabled, member fo bond0

bond0 - IP disabled
bond0.216 - VLAN interface with inbound IP address, connected to bond0
bond0.116 - VLAN interface with outbound IP address, connected to bond0

Everythinkg works until appliance restart. It seems that proxy is trying to bind to VLAN interface which is still not active.

Is there any way to delay MWG start until all logical interfaces are up ?

Hi.

Config is done via UI.
The issue was on LAN switch config active/backup bonding. It works OK.

I've not seen that before. Are you configuring the interfaces via the UI or from the shell interface? (if so, it must be done from the UI to properly store in the configuration and persist across reboots).

I suggest gathering a feedback file and opening an SR for Support to look at the issue after addressing the above.

Thanks,

Steven
