Web Gateway: Configuring Incident Notifications and Alerts

Hi McAfee,

Regarding Incident & Notificaitons we would like to configure on below certiria

" If Web Gateway Reboots" and "If Web Gateway shutdown"  We have to get incident notificaitons on this. As per TAC recommendation we are posting our valuable queries here. It will be help us if any incidents happens.

I believe what you're looking for is similar to what's mentioned here:

These can be enabled in the snmpd.conf (Configuration > File Editor > snmpd.conf):

http://www.net-snmp.org/docs/man/snmpd.conf.html

With the following configuration items (append to end of snmpd.conf):

authtrapenable 1
linkUpDownNotifications yes
defaultMonitors yes

"coldStart" and "warmStart" are associated with the "defaultMonitors" option (I believe).

These are not incidents available in MWG, rather native OS SNMP options. Once enabled traps will be sent.
