Hello,
We use the webreporter v5.2.1 on windows 2008 server and the log filled the template directory on the disk.
directory: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Web Reporter (64-bit)\reporter\tmp\logparsing\processing
file example: access1406041512.log20140604-153012995.dat
Should I delete these files from the directory without any bad consequences?
Thanks!
Regards,
Zoltan

Hi Zoltan -
These are the access log files that your MWG sent to Web Reporter. When they are in the processing directory, they wait their turn to get parsed by WR and the inserted into the Database.
Deleting these files would not give WR the chance to parse/insert and therefore cause you to not see data in your reports for the timeframe encompassed in your logs.
Move these files to a different partition to reclaim storage; don't delete unless you don't care about the data.
Check whether pending log file (Administrator > Setup > Log Sources > Jobs)
Check Web Reporter services. If they are still running, restart both of them.
You may copy the files to a different location. Then you may write log files to database by using a new log source.

Dear dshock,
Thank you for this reply. I am facing a similar issue with content security reporter and I would like some clarifications regarding your answer.
If I move these files to a different partition, how will they be parsed from the new partition?
If there is no possibility to increase the current partition size and only to add a new one, how can I apply a permanent solution to this issue? Is there a way to declare a permanent processing folder to the new partition and all processing logs to be stored and parsed from it thereafter?
Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,
Hi Krit,
Hope you are doing well.
If you have moved files to some other partition You can create a new log source on CSR to collect log files from Directory on report server.
You need to then browse to the directory where you have placed those logs.

Dear Alok,
Thank you very much for the reply.
Actually I need to clear the processing folder ( C:\Program Files\McAfee\Content Security Reporter\reporter\tmp\logparsing\processing ), not the actual log folder.
I was able to define another log source on another disk of the server, but even these log files create processing files on the path mentioned above.
is there any chance to create a "processing" folder as the above to the new disk? Or I should start thinking of reinstalling the CRS software from scratch to the new disk partition?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Kostas
