Hello friends, I just did a laboratory: in the vmware I just installed the mcafee web gateway but when I put the ip https://<IP address>:4712 in the browser it does not load the page, I also tried with port 4711 and does not load.

In the wizard windows, configure the following:
*IP address, entered manually
*Network mask
• Default gateway
• Host name
• DNS server (8.8.8.8 dns primary)

I chose the IP address of my equipment or any ip is chosen??

Hello, I checked again and I did not have the bridge mode option enabled in vmware. I had to do it again and it already worked, when I open the browser the ip of my MWG is already loaded.

To test with a device, the device must be within my network, right? And do I have to carry out any configuration so that this test equipment can go through the proxy?

with a bridged network config you can use your own workstation as a client, just configure firefox to use the proxy
