For the default "admin" account in ePO, is there a default password used for this or does each customer receive a one-time, unique password? I'm trying to show an auditor that a default password is not set on it, but don't know what the default password is (if any).

Hi rbenson09,
There is no default password to the Admin account. The password is set during an installation. Just incase if you do not remember your admin password, follow the below steps to reset it.
* If you are using EPO 5.10, open the console on EPO server and there is an option to restore your Admin password
* If it is EPO 5.9.1 type the below URL to restore your Admin password
https://localhost:8443/core
* You can even use EPIPA tool reset your admin password.
Choose the above option which ever is convenient.

Hello,
Thanks for your post.
Just wanted to confirm whether you are using ePO-Cloud MVISION or ePO On-Premise.
In ePO On-Premises we need to set up the password while installing it and that is the default password.

I installed McAfee on my Mac OS X since my company Oracle required it, there was no password
asked for in the installation process. Now it asks for an ePO administrator password to change my
configuration. Where do I get this password?
In the ENS policy. Endpoint Security Common : Policy Category > Options
You can change the password if you don't remember and then wake the agent up.
What password are you referring to here? You can't install ePO on a mac, only point products.

If you are talking about UI password then it should be 'mcafee'

Restore administrator password , that will ask you database credentials and your new epo

5.9.1 or lower versions: there are 3 options.

Users > select the account which you want to change the credentials> actions >
