Agent Handler Reinstall - CU7

Had to reinstall our agent handler, I thought the process was to run the AH setup and then run the latest CU update, since the full package we install the AH setup from is I believe the CU4 version. When I run the CU7 update it tells me there are no patches that need to be applied. When I look at the update log I see the following in the log. So I am wondering if this is expected. Where I don't have to patch, the setup somehow knows to patch the AH during install?

2020-06-30T12:47:45.239Z - info: Update with Id CU-7 is already installed on this system with status : success
2020-06-30T12:47:45.255Z - info: Repost requested for update id CU-7 is false
2020-06-30T12:47:45.255Z - info: Update with id CU-7 is installed on %servername% , so don't add to current list

Re: Agent Handler Reinstall - CU7

Run it with the repair option, as the database would have recorded previous install and thinks it is installed.

Did that and it says it updated successfully. Thanks.

For my peace of mind, what would you say would be the best way to spot check that it is running the latest update if I am on the system?

Re: Agent Handler Reinstall - CU7

You can compare the naimserv.dll file version with that of epo, but that isn't always the best indicator, as it isn't always updated.  That will at least tell you if it has any applied or not.
